Whiteman, Jordan. Dark Dungeon Music: The Unlikely Story of Dungeon Synth.
London, England published by Cult Never Dies, 2024.
Octavo (30 x 22cm), 348 pg., perfect bound text block within pictorial boards.
Written by Jordan Whiteman of Ancient Meadow Records.
Jordan has dedicated years not only as the owner/operator of Ancient Meadows Records but also as a respected authority, scholar and collector embedded within the genre and is counted among the delvers of the dungeons themselves as one of their own.
This essential and relevant reference of the genre and its artists is the culmination of his work made manifest on semi-gloss pages and crisp B&W text and images.
“It is our responsibility as students and fans of a genre to be the best stewards of the music we can possibly be.”
Dark Dungeon Music, pg. 47

SELLER'S NOTE
Due to a lengthy overseas journey and an apparent not give a fuck attitude by postal services in either country to handle packages with care, the corners on my last copies of this book have been lightly bumped.
I assure you, this will not take away from your reading pleasure or the knowledge you will gain from the book.
Apologies and Thank You!

Our Canuck sword brother Oliver at Brackenbury Books third (by my count) paperback offering, 'Sometime Lofty Towers' by veteran S&S writer David C. Smith is once again in print.
The book, as object, really does have the elements of an old school mass market from the 70's.
Crimson red sprayed edges, sharp & bright pages with a nice pulpy texture, custom drop cap initials begin each chapter, illustrated map & frontispiece, a short interview with the author and adverts by the publisher in back...all, as it should be!
